November 2004 – June 2005 Thesis Film Production, California State
University Northridge. - Conceived and penned the idea of short film – Changing
Soles. - Successful researched, drafted, and delivered sponsorship pitches
to VANS, Fuji, and Panavision to fund the film. - Worked closely with the
DP and Colorist to attain the desired look and ambience for the film. -
Conducted auditions and rehearsals; prepared shooting script and storyboards.
- Scouted for, and negotiated location deals and arranged for shooting
permits. 1ST ASSISTANT CAMERAMAN September 2004 – November 2004 California
State University Northridge - Assisted the DP with camera preparation for
the short student film – Gap. - Executed the project using Arri SR
II, 16mm film camera. EVENT VIDEOGRAPHER September 2004 Aga Khan Foundation
Partnership Walk 2004 - Documented event: Behind-the-scene footage of volunteers’ preparations,
the walk-in-progress, and cultural stage show. - Coordinated shoots - interviews
with dignitaries, including Los Angeles Mayor, Laker Girls and numerous
media personalities from CNN, NBC TV. PRODUCTION ASSISTANT INTERN July
2004 – September 2004 Independent Feature Film – Spice of Life
- Assisted the 2nd AC making the camera report. - Official publicity still
photography for the feature. - Assisted the 2nd AD with photocopies, call
sheets, general errands etc. - Arranged for shooting permits. - Drop exposed
film stocks for processing. DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY February 2004 – May
2004 California State University Northridge - Created the desired look
and ambience for the short student film – The Dead Fish. - Decision-making:
Choosing appropriate film stocks and lighting setup. SPECIAL SKILLS - Proficient
in using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. - Photography with particular
interest in ‘Black & White’ and ‘Cross Processing’.
- Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, etc; Mac literate as well. - Have
a strong understanding of, and experience in applying the primary Hollywood
lighting styles namely Rim Brant, Butterfly, Loop, Split etc. - Experience
with 16mm Panavision Elaine, Kodak Super 8mm, Arri SR II and Eclaire 16mm,
Medium format, Canon XL-1, and Digital SLR cameras.
